Javad Mushtaq

Javad Mushtaq is a multi-award winning social entrepreneur, early stage impact investor and diversity pioneer and leader from Norway with roots from Pakistan. He is currently the Deputy CEO of EAT, Co-Founder and CEO of MAK, MinMentor and JM Ventures and is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper. He has previous work experience 5 continents through his work with Corporate Strategy from Aker Solutions (Norway, UK, Malaysia, Brazil), as Director of Katapult – Nordic Impact Investment (Africa) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (US).

Javad serves as the youngest person in several Advisory Boards and Board of Directors in institutions including BI Norwegian Business School, University of South-Eastern Norway, REV Ocean (World Ocean HQs), ID Inclusion, Kulturrådet and Oda. In addition to also serving as the Global Lead on Equity and Inclusion in Global Shapers Community by World Economic Forum, Javad has also been part of the Norwegian Government’s Expert Committee on Lifelong Learning.

Javad has been recognized and received honors including Norway’s top leadership talents under age 35 in 2017, 2018 and 2019, European “Coca Cola Hero of the Year Highly Commended” recognition for his pioneering work on Diversity and Inclusion, BI Young Alumni Award – on their 75 year anniversary for his work on Social Impact over 10 years, and “Pride of Performance” award handed out by the Norwegian Prime Minister by 14th Aug Committee.

Javad is educated MSc (Honors) in Business and Economics from BI Norwegian Business School. His expertise include (social) entrepreneurship, early impact investing, social impact and SDGs, systems thinking and leadership, emerging markets, innovation ecosystems, technology, education for all, and diversity and inclusion.
